AKI CHOKLAT for Lahtiset

An innovative collection combining traditional ‘Finnishness’ with sporty footwear: Designer Aki Choklat  created a new collection for Lahtiset inspired by “...the new possibilities of felt, and the alliance of two extreme sides”. He was guided by basic shapes such as squares, triangles and circles. With the addition of two-tone shades the collection got a fresh look--making it new and attractive, yet classically beautiful.

All footwear and bags in the collection are produced in central Finland, home to the Lahtiset company for nearly ninety years. The carefully selected raw materials and parts come from Finnish or European suppliers. Enviromental aspects have also been thoughtfully considered. Eco friendly vegetable-tanned leather, rubber and wool, with minimal material waste and light packaging, make the collection a good choice for sustainable development.
